* How can I join Ozclothnappies?
The group is currently hosted at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ozclothnappies/ . Or you can join by email via the link at the top right of this page. An introductory email is requested - you will automatically receive an email with information on this after you click to join. If you don't receive this email, check the yahoogroups link - there are details there on how to instant message a group moderator.
* Why and how can I upload photos, and to delete full size photos?
Lots of us like to share photos of our family and our nappies. The mailing list does not allow email attachments, so there is space at the group website for you to upload your photos. Yahoo will direct you through doing this. However please delete the full size photo (for storage reasons). To do this click on the photo once uploaded to show full size image, then right mouse click, which should bring up an option to delete full size image only, select this and click ok. If you are leaving the group, please delete your photo folder before you go.
* My email address has changed. How can I get my ozclothnappies email sent to my new address without having to change my yahoogroups ID?
There are three steps to adding/changing your email address at yahoogroups:
- 1. Add your new email address at http://groups.yahoo.com/myprefs
- 2. Activate that email address: check for the activation email from yahoogroups, and follow the instructions there
- 3. Change your ozcloth delivery settings at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ozclothnappies/join For more detail on this process, see the Yahoogroups help file here.
* There are so many emails! How can I manage the volume?
We can be a chatty bunch! There are a few options for email delivery for you to consider. You can change your subscription settings yourself at any time. Edit your settings at the group webpage, or by following the instructions which are in every email message you receive from the group.
- 1. Individual Emails. Keep receiving emails at your primary address. Set up a dedicated ozclothnappies folder, then create a Filter or Rule that will automatically file incoming ozclothnappies email to that folder. Many email programs will also thread your messages neatly so you can follow a conversation. Replying to a message is as simple as clicking Reply, trimming the quotes down as per the group Guidelines file, typing your reply, and hitting Send.
- 2. Webmail. You are welcome to ask the listmum for a Gmail invitation. Gmail is Google Webmail, which you read in your web browser. The conversations are threaded for you and it is simple to use and has a lot of storage. If you prefer to read with your email program, it also does POP so you can download your email. Other webmail subscriptions are also ok, though yahoogroups and hotmail do have recurring problems with non-delivery and bouncing emails; so hotmail is not recommended.
- 3. Choose a Digest or Special Notices (web only) subscription. Go to your Edit Membership preferences at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ozclothnappies/join and set your Message Delivery preferences to Digest or Special Notices. No Nomail subscriptions, please. (Special Notices are very infrequent, and won't overload your inbox.) With a Digest subscription, you will received one compilation email per 25 messages. The downside of a digest subscription is that the conversations are not threaded (arranged by subject), and that replying to a message is somewhat more involved than just clicking Reply. With a Special Notices subscription, you will need to log in to the yahoogroup website periodically, sign in, and read the messages from the Messages section of the group.
* It would be great to chat live with other cloth nappy parents. I hear there's a nappy IRC chat group?

* What is the advertisement policy at ozclothnappies?
